Job Summary:

As a SolidWorks Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models and drawings for the manufacturing of various machine components and systems. You will work closely with our engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure the designs meet all specifications and standards.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Design and Development: Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of machine components and assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Product Improvement: Develop and implement design improvements to enhance performance, reduce costs, and increase manufacturability.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, and procurement to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation including BOMs (Bill of Materials), assembly instructions, and revision history.
• Prototyping and Testing: Participate in the prototyping and testing phases, providing technical support and making necessary design adjustments.
• Compliance: Ensure that all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality standards.
• Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and ensuring quality output.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design using SolidWorks in a manufacturing environment.
• Qualification: Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• Additional course: FATEK PLC & Kinco HMI automation course
• Skills:
• Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) is preferred.
• Certifications: SolidWorks Certification (CSWP or CSWE) is a plus.
