You will work closely with our engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure the designs meet all specifications and standards.Duties and responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of machine components and assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Product Improvement: Develop and implement design improvements to enhance performance, reduce costs, and increase manufacturability.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, and procurement to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation including BOMs (Bill of Materials), assembly instructions, and revision history.
- Prototyping and Testing: Participate in the prototyping and testing phases, providing technical support and making necessary design adjustments.
- Compliance: Ensure that all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality standards.
- Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and ensuring quality output.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design using SolidWorks in a manufacturing environment.
- Qualification: Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Additional course: FATEK PLC & Kinco HMI automation course
- Skills:
- Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) is preferred.
- Certifications: SolidWorks Certification (CSWP or CSWE) is a plus.
