Also be inform that this job will be company’s contract which will be renewal basis every year with company and can be converted to company’s pay role based on their performance and company’s requirement.
The key priorities for the role:
- Upon securing a contract / order the incumbent (depending upon the size and complexity of the project) may be required to operate independently or as part of a project team to develop component/Component P&ID, layout, manufacturing, and piping drawings as well as other document’s/drawings for the project.
The tasks and responsibilities for the role include:
- Work cooperatively with the team of engineers and technical staff in the Business Unit in the preparation of quotations and execution of projects as and when required.
- Hands on Experience of Detail engineering of Fabricated equipment like Tankages, Silo, Vessels, Heat Exchangers Etc.
- Develop the Drawings according to given Data sheet, sketches, P&ID’s, layout and specifications under the direction of engineering team.
- Create drawings from basic 2D up to complete 3D modelling required to complete a project; ; drawing multiple views of the system, components/Equipment, and parts; depicting relationship of components and parts; identifying dimensions, angles, curvatures, tolerances and materials.
- Participate in the review of plant, equipment and structures as required.
- Schedule and control own workflow to meet deadline commitments.
- Undertake control of design and drafting for small to medium sized projects as required
- Preserve and improve design knowledge and experience.
- Check prints by utilizing GEA checking procedures.
- Work cooperatively with the Company administrative staff.
- Hi-proficiency in AutoCAD mechanical
- Proficiency in 3D software like Autodesk inventor.
- Knowledge about working with Autodesk Vault or Vault PRO
- Knowledge about Equipment, Ducting, Structure, Layout, piping P&ID Etc.
- Administration
- Maintain appropriate records by filing drawings, project notes and specifications using the local regions filing procedures.
- Keep up to date on all new products, product changes and general processing trends.
- Prepare weekly timesheets and project reports.
- Assist in other parts of the Company’s business as required to ensure the overall effectiveness of the Company.
Travel Requirements:
- The Engineer will be based in Vadodara Office.
- Limited Travel will be required to visit fabricator workshop. The Engineer will work within the Technical Design team to develop a knowledge and understanding of our internal Project’s Component engineering part execution.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Engineer should be detail oriented, possess good English language communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must be self-motivated
Must possess good interpersonal skills and work well in a team setting as well as independently as required.
Qualification:
Bachelor’s/Diploma in mechanical engineering
Experience
Minimum 2 to 6 years of work experience in the field of mechanical design Engineering.
Required languages
Full working proficiency in English
Software proficiency
- Autodesk Mechanical,
- Autodesk Inventor
- Autodesk Vault
- Autodesk plant 3D
Relevant work experience
- Hands on experience in design and detailing fabricated equipment’s for Dairy, Food, Beverages, Chemical plants
- Mechanical Drawing of Equipment, Ducting, structure, P&ID, Layout, piping Etc.…
- Detail drawing and dimensioning according to all international and Indian standard.
- Experience in the Dairy/FMCG industries would be highly desirable.
Other Skills required
Computer literacy with demonstrated experience in using the Internet, Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel), MS Project preferred Etc..
Interpersonal skills:
- Part of a team with a common design sense. Needs to be able to communicate openly their criteria and accept new designs and improvements analyzing advantages and disadvantages in an objective manner but also taking care of aesthetical aspects.
- Strong organizational skills, people skills and attention to detail.
- Needs to be able to persuade the client (internal or external) for getting a GEA fingerprint in the design but respecting their preferences.
- Needs to be creative and innovative but taking care about learned lessons.
- Ability to communicate within the organization to all levels.
Communication requirements for the role:
- Internal stakeholders: GEA Site, Project, Quality and HSE Managers, Project Engineering, Regional Sales, Technical design teams, Global Engineering pool teams, Supply chain and Logistics.
- External stakeholders: Customers Site, HSE and Quality managers, GEA sub suppliers.
- Type of communication: Face to Face, email and online meetings will be used to negotiate and harmonize internal/external stakeholders with regard to successful project delivery.
